With a readership of 140,000 across London via the magazine, plus a website and social media community that just keeps on growing, it's no surprise that Live is one of the city's fastest growing and most exciting magazines for young people.  Live therefore offers advertisers a number of opportunities that deliver results - from traditional display through to "scene-melding" integrated impact campaigns. For more info on this, scroll down to the ADVERTISING & CREATIVE SOLUTIONS section or contact andrea@livity.co.uk

Live is distributed via secondary schools, colleges, universities, restaurants (including Nando's), leisure centres, libraries and youth clubs; and has a busy street team that hits all the areas that young people hang out, handing out Live to London's teenagers and young adults. From Westfield Shopping Centre, Camden, Spitelfields and Oxford Street through to gigs at O2 venues, U21 raves, and outside tube stations - we're there.

HISTORY

Live first started in 2001 in response to the need for teenagers and young adults in South London to have a voice. Live South magazine was created and distributed 20,000 copies across Lambeth & Lewisham's schools colleges and youth clubs, with the street team going onto the estates and playgrounds putting it into the hands of young people who were really hard to reach via traditional media. It was really popular and was read by 80,000 young people every quarter. Live South was there during the blow up of the Grime scene. Live South interviewed and featured the people emerging from the scene before anyone else. Live also put emerging artists on the cover that mainstream media had never heard of at the time - people like Dizzee Rascal, Plan B, Miss Dynamite, Riz MC, Killa Kella, NDubz, Shystie, Chipmunk, Tinchy, Bashy, the list goes on. Live South was featured in the 2005-2008 hit series Dubplate Drama, which aired on MTV, Channel 4 and MySpace which featured a lot of the urban artists that Live had been hyping.

With such success Live's founding company launched Live East magazine in 2009 based out of Whitechapel and distributed 15,000 copies across Newham and Tower Hamlets giving young muslims and teenagers from East London a platform to have a voice and shout out about the scenes that were blowing up there.

Live was getting more and more noticed by mainstream media. In late 2009 the Guardian funded a North London pilot called Live North distributing 10,000 copies in and around Kings Cross.

The thinking was then that it seemed crazy to be making three - and potentially four - separate magazines, covering all four corners of London. So in late 2010 all the magazines were brought together to make ONE outstanding publication...Live Magazine.

See what our advertisers have to say:

"Red Bull have undertaken a year long print ad program with Live Magazine. It's great to be able to speak to teens in London while working with a socially responsible organisation that nurtures young talent."  - Nick Bennett, Brand Management Team, Red Bull

"Live is perfect for adidas - it really is London. The audience is central to every campaign we do, and what better way to reach them than by using a title created by the audience itself. Live is credible and it's great to know your campaign is not only reaching objectives but also contributing to a project that nurtures and supports talent from the youth audience as well." - Rory Morrin, Communications Planning Manager, Carat

"Live is a really exciting media platform for reaching young people. We worked with them for 2011's Future Film Festival, which saw Live spread the word across their large network via content and social media. The festival was a sell out event; and they pulled the largest crowd we've seen into our delegate centre for their live music showcase." - Noel Goodwin, BFI Future Film Marketing & Communications
